Cardboard boxes have endless playtime possibilities and Baby B is finally old enough to join in the fun! I thought a good place to start would be to make a Soft Sensory Box for him to explore.
I cut off two of the flaps so it was easier for him to climb in. Then, I threw in some soft toys and stuffed animals of various fabrics and textures.
At first Baby B didn’t show much interest, but I left the box out so it was available. Sure enough, a few hours later he climbed right in and had a wonderful time snuggling up to the stuffed animals, tossing the blocks and digging around, feeling the soft textures.
A few days later, I was packing up a box with maternity clothes to pass on to a friend. Just as I was finishing up, Baby B climbed right in and started to explore, tossing the clothes, feeling the different fabrics and deliberately covering up his legs and snuggling up.
I think Baby B likes this idea! I hope your little one has just as much fun as he did.
